Licensed Physical Therapist, MPT
Instructor of Yoga, Qigong, and Pilates
Creator of Loo Movement
A competitive gymnast in her young years, by the time she was 30, Valerie had developed a complex lumbar disc issue. Her own physical dysfunction led to a career in physical therapy, yoga, Qigong, and Pilates instruction, and ultimately the creation of Loo Movement:Intuitive Physical Therapy, a proprietary 6-step method that includes a mind body practice and nervous system re-wiring. She founded Stable Core Pilates + Physical Therapy in 2009. Since then, Valerie has further specialized in teaching people to develop their intuitive body wisdom, their ability to sense and replicate better alignment, and to change movements that cause strain and dysfunction.
Valerie has a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the Mayo Clinic, as well as post-professional training in advanced orthopedic manual therapy, craniosacral therapy, Yoga Nidra, Reiki, and hypnotherapy. Her Pilates Instructor certification is from Balanced Body, her Qigong certification is from Ren Xue International, and her yoga certification is from Left Coast Power Yoga. She draws from all of these practices to guide her clients to get back into their bodies, into a heightened state of awareness, to move better and feel better.
“My desire is to share all that’s helped me radically improve my own level of well-being, so that your journey is easier than mine was.”
